Sunday is fine merino, non-superwash, and it's become the default base yarn for an entire generation of Nordic patterns — largely because PetiteKnit built so much of her catalog on it. Knit it single for something light. Hold it double. Hold it with Tynn Silk Mohair or Alpakka Følgetråd for the classic PetiteKnit fabric.
Because it skips the superwash treatment, it behaves like actual wool: springy, warm, and it blooms and softens after a wash. The stitches settle into each other the way superwash never quite does.
The tradeoff is honest, so we'll say it plainly — non-superwash wool can felt. Wash gently, wash separately, skip the laundry bag, and dry flat. Treat it like the wool it is and it'll outlast most things in your closet.
The color range is enormous, and it includes PetiteKnit's own palette — colors she selected to mix easily with each other. If you're planning yoke colorwork, start there.
