Required pre-requisite:

Have an open mind and welcoming attitude for learning a new technique
- Have knitted and completed two hats in the round
- M1 increase
- Slip a stitch
- Knitted cast on
- Minimal colorwork experience for the fair isle portion
Homework:
- Obtain the Ear Flap Homework pattern from Ewe-nique Knits
- Knit 2 earflaps in knitting style of your preference in your chosen size and bring those to class
- Use the earflap fabric to measure your gauge
Course Overview: The Peruvian Purl Earflap Hat class is designed to provide a “fun learning experience of Peruvian Purling” and “Fair Isle”. The cast-on of stitches are done at the beginning of class while incorporating the completed earflaps with the knitted cast-on. Your hat is knit from the inside out by purling the stitches. The stitches are purled using the Peruvian Purl Method of “thumb flicking” and holding yarn around the neck for to create tension.
There are 3 sizes for hat: Infant, Child & Average Adult for women
Arrive on time for class.

Class Supplies
- Yarn: Woolstok by Blue Sky Fibers: 1 skein main color and 1 skein contrasting color
- Knitting needles: US 8 16" circular or size to obtain gauge
- Stitch markers, tapestry needle, and scissors
- Pattern provided in class
- Homework pattern provided prior to class
Project Level- Easy: Projects may include simple stitch patterns, colorwork, and/or shaping. (yarnstandards.com)
