Loom Sweater Kit — Sandnes Garn ATLAS
Some sweaters chase a trend. Loom isn't one of them.
Cables down the front and sleeves, a clean raglan line, and a folded double neckband that sits just right — this is the sweater you'll still be reaching for in ten years.
Sandnes Garn designed it in ATLAS, a blend of 70% Norwegian lambswool and 30% merino. The lambswool gives you crisp cable definition and real structure; the merino keeps it soft enough to wear against your neck. It's lofty, warm, and light for how substantial it looks.
Knit top-down in one piece. You'll start back and forth to shape the neckline with short rows, join in the round for the yoke, then divide for sleeves and body. The neckband is picked up at the end and folded double to the wrong side for a clean finish.
What's in the kit
- Enough ATLAS to complete your size (see ball counts below)
- The Loom pattern
- Your choice of color from what we have in stock
Needles sold separately — you'll want US 4 (3.5 mm) and US 6 (4 mm). Circulars for the body, plus your preferred small-circumference method for sleeves.
Difficulty: Experienced
You're reading a cable chart while working raglan increases, plus short rows to shape the neckline. Not your first sweater — but very doable if you've worked cables before.
Gauge: 18 sts = 4" (10 cm) on US 6

Sizes are a guide — measure the person who's actually going to wear it. Ball counts are calculated for the lengths above, so if you're adding length, grab an extra ball.
