Join in with other new knitters to begin your knitting journey. Knitting a mini cowl in the round is a basic starting point for new knitters in our shop. Achieving a knitted cowl in the round is accomplished by learning basic knitting stitches and following a pattern. Stitches learned in class provide a basic foundation in your knitting & boosts confidence for future beginner level projects.
The following stiches are learning points of the class:
- Cast on
- Knit stitch
- Purl stitch
- YO- Yarn over
- SSK- slip slip knit
- kfb- knit front back
- k2tog- knit two together
- p2tog- purl two together
- Cast-off
- Weave in the ends
Homework: Please knit at home between classes.
