One hundred women, printed in fine line drawing on Japanese cotton — every one with her own hair, her own pose, her own outfit waiting to happen. Designed by Kazue Nakajima of Quilts 1989, the woman behind Japan's cult-favorite 100 Ladies series.
Dress them however you want. Satin stitch a coat. French knot a scarf. Applique a tiny handbag. Try that new stitch you've been meaning to learn on Lady #47, and if it goes sideways, there are ninety-nine more. Some people use fabric pens. Some people mix both. There is no wrong answer here, which is exactly the point.
Frame the whole panel when you're done, or cut the ladies apart and turn them into brooches, patches, earrings, or gift tags.
It's also a perfect 100 Day Project. One lady a day. That's it.
