Class Title: Learn to Knit a Top Down Baby Sweater
Class Overview: Have you ever wanted to knit a sweater? This class is the perfect introduction.
Students will learn the basics of top down, in the round sweater, while knitting a sweet little baby sweater. Learning points include cable cast-on, raglan sleeves, picking up and knitting stitches underarms, right & left M1’s, and gauge swatching.
Once completed, you'll have a lovely little practice sweater for a gift. Keep in mind, the only difference between an adult sweater and a baby sweater is more knitting!
Class Prerequisites: Have knit & completed at least 3 projects. Mastered Knit stitch, purl stitch, casting on (any method), binding off and are eager to increase your knitting education by learning new techniques.
Homework: Read pattern and become familiar with all abbreviations. Cast on 20sts and knit in stockinette stitch for 4" in length for gauge. Gauge swatch should measure ~4" wide. Need help? See any of our staff.
Knitting homework is necessary between classes for project completion. Purchase supplies prior to class. Class begins promptly at starting time! Have your materials purchased and wound ahead of time.
Class Details: Class meets once a week for four weeks

- Yarn: Big Bad Wool Weepaca, 2 skeins for the 3 month size
- Pattern: V for Vivi Sweater by Donna Higgins
- Needles: 16" and 24" circular US #7, US #7 double pointed needles
- Stitch markers
Yarn must be purchased from Ewe-nique Knits
