Pre-requisite: Have knitted and completed at least 3 projects. Mastered the knit stitch, purl stitch, casting on of any method, binding off and are eager to increase your knitting education by learning new techniques/skills and developing knitting independence.
Homework: Knit a 1” 2X2 rib for cuff and continue knitting 5” of stockinette for total length of 6” and be prepared to begin heel of sock.
This class meets twice with the expectation that the foot of the sock will be worked on in between classes. Learn how to knit a pair of adult shorter crew dk/sport weight socks for your feet or the feet of someone worthy of your knitting using double pointed needles. Class begins with an introduction to the anatomy of knitting a sock. Each student will knit their vertical heel flap, turn their heel, pick up gusset stitches and begin to decrease gusset stitches during the first class. Toe decreases and closing the toe will be taught during the second class.

- SSK
- K2 tog
- Kitchener
- Picking up stitches
- Slipping a stitch
Class Supplies: *Supplies are additional and yarn must be purchased at Ewe-nique Knits
- Yarn: Vintage Baby (2 skeins), Starke 6 Bruder (2 skeins), or 275 yds of any sport/DK weight yarn
- Knitting Needles: US #3 Double Points or size to attain gauge.
